  • To further the spirit of kinship among McLennans and the Septs of the Clan.
  • To promote the interests of the Clan.
  • To collect and preserve records and traditions and historical material bearing on the history of the Clan and to maintain a central clearing house for the reception, study and utilisation of such material.
  • To encourage the publication of documents and/or articles connected with the Clan and to compile a history of the Clan and its Septs.
  • To assist members with their genealogy.
  • To further the art of Piping and Highland Dancing.
  • To cooperate with other Clans and similar Societies and Associations in fostering and furthering participation in Scottish and Celtic activities.
  • To ensure proper representation of our Clan on appropriate occasions.
Short history: Founded in Melbourne during 1978 through the endevours of Elsie Smith (nee Logan) dec’d, Foundation President and Olive McLennean, Foundation Secretary, when Chief Ronald MacLennan became Chief by derbfine, after the Clan was without a Chief for over 300 years. Current Chief of Clan is his son Ruairidh Donald George MacLennan, and Chieftain is Gregory Scott MacLennan.
Meetings: Meetings are held in and around Melbourne, as required, with a minimum of three meetings per year
