Scots of Victoria

For more than half a century the Ringwood Highland Games has brought a celebration of Scottish & Celtic culture to the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Thousands of Melbournians, young and old, have laughed, cried and generally been entertained during our wonderful Melbourne Autumns since 1965.

Significantly, we are now the only Metropolitan Highland games left in Victoria and that is why, on Sunday August 15th, we are launching the rebadged

Our efforts to keep you entertained will come to fruition later this year on Sunday October 3rd at Eastfield Park Croydon when we will be able to safely stage our postponed 2021 Games.

These will be the first Games to be performed in Victoria for over two years and we are really looking forward to putting on a spectacular event for our Victorian community that has been so strong but doing it hard during the pandemic.

Our last Games were in March 2019, and since then, with the support of Maroondah Council and the Victorian Government we have entertained you with two Virtual Highland Games. These were wonderfully successful events that provided important entertainment and support to a community facing unprecedented adversity.

Now, we are really looking forward to bringing you face to face with those wonderful pipers, dancers and athletes you havent seen for two years. Taste Scottish and Celtic delicacies, browse the Scottish and Celtic memorabilia, tap into your heritage and for the first time in Melbourne watch women competing in the Heavy Games! Kids will be able to once again pat Ericas Hielan Coo and compete in the Mini Highland Games. It will be a great day out.

  • It will be safe

  • It will be family friendly

  • It will be an opportunity for us to come together and Celebrate life & Diversity
