|Brief History|| The Clans O’ the West Highland Pipe Band is a social band that has been performing and playing together since 1985. Members are male and female and range from 13 years into the 70’s.
Each member wears their own unique tartan or kilt of choice hence the name Clans O’ the West. The band does provide musical equipment and uniform where possible.
|Meetings:|| The band meets each Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Rockbank Public Hall (just off the Western Hwy in Rockbank, Melways Ref: Map 344 H8/9 ).
Wednesday nights include individual practice, combined practice, drill practice, sharing of musical knowledge, a friendly chat and a cup of coffee.
|Functions|| Yearly playouts include:
Australia Day, Anzac Day-Melbourne, Anzac Day celebrations in Bacchus Marsh, Pascoe Vale and Melton, Community Festival parades for Werribee, Melton & Kyneton, Torchlight Parades for Melton, Werribee, Gisborne, Riddell’s Creek & Romsey.
